Exciting News

We are excited to announce that Wings South West has successfully secured a place on Devon Council’s open framework to provide education support for young people in the North Devon and Torridge areas.
We are also proud to share that Wings has been awarded the status of "Most Advantageous Tender" within the framework, achieving a perfect quality weighting of 100%! This recognition allows us to continue our vital work with young people. We will continue supporting post-16 students as a sub-contractor for Petroc, focusing on young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. In addition, we will keep working alongside schools and families in the local community, offering a specialist, relational approach to learning and engagement for 14-16 year olds. At present, our 14-16 intervention program is at full capacity, and we are now beginning to meet with prospective post-16 students for placements starting in September 2026. WELCOME TO NEW STAFF
Job Vacancies at Wings
Do you have a passion for education and for the disadvantaged?
Do you long to work or volunteer in a place that puts students and their needs first?
Do you have some time spare in your week?
At Wings South West we run alternative provision for students who struggle to be in mainstream school. We focus on building positive relationships with students and helping them to take steps in their education and social life journey. We are looking for people who may have experience as well as skills in education, have a few hours spare in a week and most importantly empathy.
We are seeking people for a range of roles including teachers, teaching assistants and volunteers to help pass on the skills of a motor mechanic and driving a mini-bus. If you have these skills and a passion to serve those who need the hope that education and positive relationships can bring, then we would love to hear from you.
